The Qatari government promised 10,000 jobs for Jordanians. However, more than 117,350 applications have been filled in a 48 hours span since the launch of the official website JQPEE.JO.
The Jordanian Ministry of Labor, in agreement and coordination with its Qatari counterpart, announced the online platform readiness to receive the CVs of interested applicants, in a press conference on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
According to the Ministry’s media spokesman, Mohammed Khatib, the website had more than 50,000 accounts registered on the first day of its launch.
Khatib confirmed that the Ministry received no complaints regarding the mechanism of filling the applications as it is both simple and straight forward. However, the website faced some technical difficulties in page-load time demonstrated in page time-out and unresponsiveness at times. Khatib explained that it was due to the enormous burst in traffic (large number of visitors) and that the issues were to cater such load.
